On Sunday 30 September, in Monaco, was the first Challenge of the Celebrities in a Biathle which brought together 14 champions and artists from different disciplines of sport. The demonstration was organized by the association "Celebrities for Sports and Charities", of which Clivio is an active member. The day combined a test for each participant, in teams of 2 in the form of a relay race starting with a 750m run, then swimming 100m and finally running 750m.
The Challenge of the Celebrities is organized to support the Organisation for Peace and Sport, an association based in Monaco, under the patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II and chaired by Mr. Joel Bouzou (former World Champion of the modern pentathlon). ‘Peace and Sports’ mission is to promote the structuring values of education through sport, serving individuals and communities across the world, through two principal activities: local projects and the annual International forum which will take place in Monaco from the 5 to 7 December, 2007.
His Serene Highness Prince Albert II is also Honorary President of the UIPM (International Union of Modern Pentathlon) and of "Celebrities for Sports and Charities", the association which gathers to date more than 250 members throughout the world with 26 nationalities.
The result from the first Challenge of the Celebrities test of the duo formed by Clivio and Sonia Fiuza (3rd in the 2006 Karate world championships) was a 4 th place finish. |
